Subscribe to our newsletter A new special website for Final Fantasy 14 patch 7.5, also known as Trail to the Heavens, has gone live – and all of the exciting content teasers for the Dawntrail update have fans hoping that 8.0, the MMO's next expansion, sees a return to the familiar.If you haven't seen it yet, the official patch 7.5 site is up, and boy, is it packing.

From a bit of a deeper dive into the hotly anticipated Beastmaster job (rise up, my fellow D&D druid and Pokemon stans) to sneak peeks at new dungeons, trials, raids, and more, there's a lot to look forward to – and some of us are looking forward, erm, quite a bit ahead… to 8.0, in fact.

Its big reveal isn't set to drop until later this month at Fan Fest, but theories are theories.

And they're certainly running wild now – especially those surrounding a potential return to the Void, also known as the Thirteenth – thanks to The Trail to the Heavens page.
